  NikeKart (Two words)
Posted by: Scott Elkes - 04-09-2017, 06:37 AM - Forum: Go kart id by brands Pix and history and Country - No Replies

The NikeKart Zeus (Two words). This story hits close to home. lol. The kart was produced in my home town Toledo, Ohio, but I never saw one until seeing Ted Johnson's reproduction NikeKart during his REARs' TBO visit in Fremont, Ohio at Fremont Raceway Park.

Ted used the Karting World test review and pictures as some of the references when building the kart.

I started the Internet search to learn more about the NikeKart after seeing the Facebook picture post of this show kart back in the day. Sorry, I do not know who are the people or who took the picture.

The only thing that came up on the search. A NikeKart ad that appeared on eBay...

Since the kart was produced in Toledo, I was curious where it was made...

UPDATE:  NO LONGER A "PLACE HOLDER".  Lots of pics and narrative now in place.

Place holder for the moment.

We need more stuff here, guys.

I'll be posting my 1st Edition Kalifornia Nyke build here as soon as my regular computer gets fixed.  No files on the computer I'm using at the moment.

  We be progressin'
Posted by: ted johnson - 04-07-2017, 03:37 PM - Forum: General - Replies (22)

Chemo yesterday, assembling the Photon today. A long way to go, still awaiting parts. Can't afford the wheels yet, and need the rear axle. I have to send the new 610 to Dave Bonbright for some tweaks. Still, progress is being made. The seat is in the spare room, and the upholstery by Sonny in Mesa looks waaay nicer than ordinary Cheetah upholstery. It ought to be comfortable, and it'll be light for a West Bend powered kart. The legroom is almost as good as a sidewinder considering the under 31" wheelbase. Ted

Bennetts and Can Am Shadows at Long Beach
Posted by: Romero Llamas - 04-07-2017, 02:28 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

They are running vintage Can Am cars this weekend in Long Beach along with the Indy cars.

RM Motorsports with Craig and Kirt Bennett will be driving the Shadow DN4 Can Am cars. Great news is that Craig has been back in the drivers seat after his accident and recovery last year, and was fastest in practice.

Good warm up for New Castle VKA !

I know this has been asked before but what is the good starting point for flex length on a slightly modified K88 (gas/oil) with a Pro 80? Thanks.
