4 part West Bend wrist pin build
Posted by: steve welte - 05-20-2017, 09:09 PM - Forum: General - Replies (22)

part 5 This Video covers fitting everything together for  a west bend/chryseler/U.s. Motors 820 and the earlier 610. Checking piston inner clearance , installation instructions for thrust washers, spacer and wrist pin with proper clearances .

part 4 This video below explains how to fit piston spacers to a west bend piston. it includes how to make a spacer modification jig and final sizing.

part 1 This video below explains the differences between the various connecting rods west bend,Chryseler and U.S. motor power offered over the years. The newest connecting rod is considered the only con rod acceptable for use in high rev racing conditions. Using the older rods or stock factory bolts in high rev engines will result in total destruction of the motor

part 2

part 3 this video explains the basics for removing the outer cap edges of west bend rod bearings. a thrust washer must be fitted in it's place as explained in previous videa.removing the cap edges reduces friction ,allows better lubrication of bearing and allows higher revs. it also removes a potentially fatal flaw in the engines design.

The 4 part video is now all on our facebook page Welte Racing and on youtube. I hope it helps you understand the process.

  F/S McCulloch R100 pedals chromed w/pics
Posted by: sam bennett - 05-16-2017, 11:24 AM - Forum: For Sale/Wanted - No Replies

You guys know how do things. These are likely the nicest ones out there. Chromed, no usual wear on the pedal faces. Lots of time and expertise goes into working with Pot metal for chrome.

A set of unrestored went for $200 and a near NOS set went for $434 on the auction. I think $250 + ins/ship (32952) is a fair price considering all of the work is done for you. My new chrome shop won't even do pot metal.

I'm out of town until the 27th, but my better half may ship earlier.

I'll throw in (4) 3/8" and (2) 1/4" new Igus bushings.

F/S Emmick Express nerfs, steering, and pedals

I've made duplicates and don't need these anymore.
They would work well if you need originals to copy from.

You can have everything here for $20 + shipping from 32952.

I'm out of town until the 27th.

  F/S McCulloch Kart R100 rear assembly w/PICS
Posted by: sam bennett - 05-16-2017, 10:50 AM - Forum: For Sale/Wanted - Replies (1)

I've been sitting on some items too long. Here is a blasted rear mount in great shape, but missing throttle assembly. 8/8 near mint clamshells, blasted, burnished.
6/8 rubber insulators are excellent. 2/8 are good. The rubber is not hard.
6/8 sleeves are really good. 2/8 are a little munched.
Original fasteners.
The Macro lens makes the tubes looked curved. I assure you the tubes are straight. I've done the hard work of stripping and blasting. Good pictures so no surprises.
$125 + shipping (32952) takes all.

I'm leaving tomorrow until the 26th, but my better half can ship sooner if needed.
