Good morning vintager's
The Photo is illustrative, but defines the level of the karts taking part of the evidence of the vintage kart Brazil Club:
Go-carts with more than 90 % of originality.
For The World Cup Brazil of kart in rattlesnake, the technical survey carried out by Claudio Zarantonello, confirmed that all the karts were inside on the originality, or very close to what they were in his time.
To get to this, there is a need for a huge commitment with the history of the kart, independent of the model, year of manufacture or brand of the same.
Come join us, evidence of cba officers and with the vintage kart Brazil Club.
Your place is here!

Bom dia vintager's

Restoration Silpo 1967

Work started a few months ago, and already in the process of finalisation, being the model, practically the same as the factory fbm, similar to the green that I've restored a few months ago.

Few differences with his successor (FBM) are noted but existing, such which the lack of certain tubes in parts of the chassis, wheel differentiated, finally small details that they say what the cart and the proximity with the year of production.

The engine is a silpo bi-Valve and it's ready, including being installed electric the original Italian lec of Platinum!
The engine itself has differences with the fbm, being more explicit in the fins of the head.

The Photos show the state in which arrived the cart and the state in which it is at this moment.

Restore Karts of the 60 s and beginning of the 70 s is a mission of a lot of responsibility, basically there are no references and a lot of times what guides us, these are pictures of season!

  Vintage Kart Mug Sheet
Posted by: David Luciani - 10-29-2016, 02:01 PM - Forum: Racing Kart Mug Sheet List random Pix and ads - Replies (1)

Alot of people find Vintage karts and then try to identify them. This is a complicated process that requires alot of knowledge or pictorial guides. typically we go to old go kart articles picture ads and real life pictures. This Slide Show has picture ads of any Racing Kart Ad we can find. if you have an ad we don't have please be sure to post it we'll insert it into the show. There were literally hundreds of Go Kart manufacturers in the Late Fifties to early Sixties. It was a huge fad and it blew up in a few short years. There were many reasons for the crash. One was cost as racing karts got more complex they started getting expensive to buy and race. Another factor was new laws designed to "riegn in" the careless karters. At first Karters were welcomed at empty parking lots but it began to get harder as liability issues cropped up. Noise complaints Town ordanances passed against the karts and a general mis-understanding about who and what karting was all combined to slow down karting growth. Anyway the early days were great and it's fun finding a vintage kart. This slideshow may help you identify it.  Here ya go
