The '81's are physically much weaker in the crankcase and the transfer area than the later '82's. I wouldn't buy a PP unless it has the four stud area where it mounts to the engine mount, and the late aluminum mount. With the huge transfer holes in the earlier cylinder, the early engines will break sooner or later. Ask Hank Rotroff. He knows '82's better than anybody. You also need to cut the head off and make a better head. TJ
