"Big Block" Power Products - Blaine Robert Young - 02-01-2022

The AH81 is sold, paid for, and shipped.   Apparently the listing (with more than 150 views and 30 watchers) prompted a newbe ebayer to list three H-81/82 engines.  One has a good looking header.   You can find them with a vintage kart search and a look at recently listed.

The '81's are physically much weaker in the crankcase and the transfer area than the later '82's. I wouldn't buy a PP unless it has the four stud area where it mounts to the engine mount, and the late aluminum mount. With the huge transfer holes in the earlier cylinder, the early engines will break sooner or later. Ask Hank Rotroff. He knows '82's better than anybody. You also need to cut the head off and make a better head. TJ

Will send it, Big Dave. He will be pleased to hear from you. I talked to him a little over a week ago. He and Marylin have moved to a new place. Ted
