I am sorry for your loss Dave, I totally admire your ability to put aside what you love to help Missy and see her thru this. You are an excellent example of a man who knows what is important and acts on it. I am sure there is some relief as there was for Ruthanne and I after the 4 + years of seeing our son Matt thru his process of leaving this earth but just keep in mind that you still need to go thru the grieving process so make sure to take care of yourself during the coming months and years. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dave, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Take comfort in the fact that you did all you could to make her final days as enjoyable as they could be. God bless you.

Dave, I'm so sorry.
When I saw the subject line, I was hoping it would be one of us wanking about something metal on Craigslist.  I was really hoping that it wouldn't be what it was.

Guys,
Thank you so much for your kind words.
We had her service yesterday.
She is/was Jewish and was buried traditionally.

actually sort of as i got permission to let her ring stay with her.
i guess normally that isn't done.

She is in the second oldest Jewish cemetery in the country with her family.
There was something like 100 people at the graveside services.
The weather was well behaved 58 degrees with a little fog and misty rain.

Right now i am at a loss.
i suppose i'll get back to work.
i got behind on a lot of things.
I think you'll be seeing me at the track this season but no promises.

Oddly enough the vintage store just got rebuilt by Brian.
he's getting it debugged before it gets launched.
Brian , not me , will be listing a whole bunch of items.

On another note,
i find myself with more free time than i expected and will need to fill the space.
i am thinking about some things to post and old threads to finish.
really depends on where i find myself leaning in the next month.
if there's a thread you want ot see renewed say so, i am open to suggestions.

anyway.
on a final note,
i am overwhelmed with the support and kind words .
thank you all.

i'm gonna try.
there's alot i have to do first.
last i looked my stuff was in ok shape but it's been nearly two years.
i haven't really looked at any of it except as something needing to be moved somewhere else occasionally.
So just getting stuff ready in all this new changes doesn't seem likely.

plus there is the driving factor.
in all racing , but especially vintage , having a driver on the field not be worried about getting hurt is really bad.
if nothing else i know myself and how i done things in the past .
So i'm currently thinking me getting behind the wheel of anything fast will be bad for others right now.

That said , unless i feel differently in the spring i think i'll just wait till i'm able to act responsibly behind the wheel.
I've always been on the side of keeping the events safe and incident free.
regardless , i may just come to an event to visit.
