Hey, GW. I don't remember even the old "round" West Bends having puller holes. Adding the 1/4-20 holes has been a standard Bonbright procedure all along. I have two 1" hardwood dowels in the shop that are ground down to fat screwdriver ends so I can pry on "other folk's" flywheels while I whop the nut with a brass hammer. The wood is good so as not to scratch the flywheel rim. West Bend wasn't the only small engine manufacturer to omit the holes.
BTW, Gary, ask Mr. Ives how my 610 runs these days! Not that I can drive any better than I used to... Ted
