I've seen a few of those out there and was wondering if this would work. It looks like that type of muffler was on the 250 and 300 saws.

yep thats the one. 
some have internal spark screens. 
removing them will make for better flow slightly louder noise.
if you have the screen and keep it be sure to clean away the carbon build up occasionally.
