1/4-20 socket head screws, 144 IN/LBS, but I use 132 IN/LBS on head bolts into aluminum. If you're using the stock crappy rod screws, the spec for No 10-32 is 78 IN/LBS. I refuse to even use these screws. Either get a set of Mac 101 screws from Terry Ives and torque to 90 IN/LBS, or better yet, get the high strength West Bend screws from Tim Hinson at Catkart Racing, 661 253-9000, or from US Motor Power themselves if you can get them to answer their phone. They are expensive, but you can torque to 115 IN/LBS, and they may be reused. Never reuse ordinary socket head rod screws. If you plan ever to modify the 820, it is a must to have the newest connecting rod. This is insurance against the rod parting company with the crank at high RPM. The older rod will work O.K. in a stock 820. Ted
