Straight Axle Side Winder

man,,I cannot believe it is so hard to figure out what a SASW is,,,,,,,come on,,everyone that drove in the late 60s early 70s had one.....

my description is,,,a  motor mounted on the side of a rear engine style kart...the front axle,,,the front axle is the same as on rear engine karts...no wishbones, no X chassis ....basically ""straight"" hence the name

how complicated is that,,,

these karts were designed to handle the foreign engines that are free air motors,,,cooled by air moving over them,,,,they were not getting enough ira on rear karts....
