Wow, hope they knew what they were doing when it was 5 ported . Some of those ended up slower than the stock E 65. Ask Terry he did a 5 port a while ago and was not impressed.
Look forward to seeing it on the track. HINT HINT

it looks like someone who knew exactly what they were doing added the ports.
the original ports look like the pix and specs from the book i read long ago.
the added two ports are 1/2" aluminum tube welded in place.
the engine block outside looks worn so it may have been run alot.
it may be one of the ones modified and sold by van tech like the mc10's were?
will post pix one day soon.

Has anyone ever seen Ray Netherton's A400.490 from the olden days? It had a Mac head, flat top piston and transfer passages close to the block, not looped way out as some I've seen on Clintons. It was said to run nearly as fast as an Mc6. I never had the pleasure of seeing it, I just read about it. TJ

Steve, why does the piston have three scallops when the '65 has two oval intake ports? TJ

That'd do it! You can see it's been ages since I worked on a cross-scavenged engine! TJ
