I remember reading somewhere about when Yamahas were built according to serial numbers. Anybody know where to find that? Also were Y3 cylinders made before or after 787's? No number on cyl before both of them?

no number are the early ones
all the ones I've seen have Y3 on one side and 787 on the other. 
no clue regarding the serial numbers
