Muffler for MC9

I have an MC-9 as one engine that I might run in a vintage kart event. It has a quiet one muffler. .

   

Historic and sportsman rear specify a box muffler and this is not a "box" muffler. Would this be legal.

How about the Azusa exhaust?

   

Any other suggestions.

I'd say you'll be fine with anything other than an open header.
At TBO, even open headers have been allowed (or should I say, aloud!).
The Azusa with the pencil-holder thingy should be fine.  Those little J-bolts take a beating, and the J-bolts we had were poorly threaded, so they never stayed tight.  I recommend using springs instead, like a dirt bike.
