Would like to verify that the crankshaft is 5/8" (.625) and also would like to know the thread size on the end of the crankshaft. I thought I had one in the shop but could not find it, must have put into my Mini-Cooper. Because of the great gas mileage don't want to take it out.
Thank you,
Jim D

Hi Jim,
I might be able to help you with the specs for that crankshaft if you can locate the engine type identification tin tag found usually on the underside of engine itself. Depending on the variation, the engine ID number should be a five digit number beginning with 400 (with or without a letter on the end) or a six digit number beginning with 710.

Vince - I don't have the engines but working off someone's measurements and he said he only has 1 .429 of usable crankshaft which seems way short to me but who knows if someone took a saw to it and cut it off to run direct drive at one time. Thanks for the offer but I will just make it up based on his numbers and hope it works.
