I would like to see it take turn #1 or #2 at TBO.
Turn #2 has proven to be especially difficult for some drivers.   Smile

That's for the driver to wrap and pull the starter rope while seated with the brake on.

I believe the owner was partial deaf and he raise it like that so he could hear if the engine was running. That is what is missing today in the youth of America - ingenuity. It worked and he was a happy camper. I was just disappointed not to see a Max-Torque clutch on the end of that shaft.

nah you guys got it wrong.
that is an early quad kart design made for better river crossings!!
the extra heavy frame is made so your machine doesn't get washed downstream to far.

I did see a home-built kart some years ago that had a propeller - and no guard around it.

I think it was to lure ratty neighborhood kids in, and then arrange for their removal...........
