I don't know why they have the bit about the the tires. That doe's not apply to us, run whatever tires you want. After the modern karts lat down all that rubber tires don't matter except if you are running too sticky tires it might be too much for your vintage chassis.
Randy, you ran Sportsman last year with your rear engine kart, right? Since you now have a more modern kart that puts you out of it. Since we have such a small number of karts RIGP only lets us have 3 classes so we tied to make them the safest and most fair we could. Sportsman, older karts. Mac , 100cc only and smaller since they are usually the largest group and Open for the faster karts. In VKA events 820's only compete against the 100cc Macs in the Sportsman rear class.
