Scott, I did not know you and Sam had tangled and he got hurt. I must of been so busy with all the gremlins on my kart that I was oblivious to everything around me. I'll say a prayer for his recovery.
I also agree on the tire change but he cheetah will remain vintage since it's just outclassed to run with the newer Karts. To bad because I really like the way it handles (when it ran). I'm now in the process of changing the Shark kart I have to run in the 6.1 class with modern tires and a K78.

we have been trying to get that Straight Axle S/W class off the ground for a couple of yearas,,,and honestly I don;t get it..there are hundreds of them out there,, Hornet SS, Bug Stingers ,Big J Lancers , Meyers Lancers, Margay (???) they a super fun to drive,,same as a rear with a little more room for us taller guys....
the best part ,,there are actually a couple classes you can run them in...6..1 rear if not enough entries for a seperate class, the Straight Axle class,, and over 60 ...
Competitive,, don't worry about competitive,,worry about FUN....
