OWhat kind of disc brake was used on the Rupp D-300?
Found what I think is a '67 or '68 and curious if the brake would be satisfactory.
Would probably run a Clinton on it.
Thanks

Art,
That sounds like it. Do you know who made it? How well does it work? Thanks

Thanks. Great pics. Do either of you remember if the D300 had a 1/2" or 5/8" steering shaft?
This one has the Dart steering wheel.

I bought em with both brake styles. The bendix brake would be better in my opinion than the mechanical disc. I took of the cheapie disc brake off and put the bendix on my 300 , also cut the fixed motor mount off to put a swing mount on. Just that and get the wire type pedals and you have an Abone with no real work or money spent.

Mine as the mechanical disc. But it's a project kart and I haven't driven it to see how effective it is.
