Bennetts and Can Am Shadows at Long Beach

They are running vintage Can Am cars this weekend in Long Beach along with the Indy cars.

RM Motorsports with Craig and Kirt Bennett will be driving the Shadow DN4 Can Am cars. Great news is that Craig has been back in the drivers seat after his accident and recovery last year, and was fastest in practice.

I know it's not the same as a Can Am car. But Craig kicked everybody's butt in the very competitive 6.1 American sidwider class at Delmar last fall. We all knew he was back on that day.

The Can Ams beat hell out of any prototype sports car of today. It'd really be a boon to racing to resurrect the series with more modern suspension technology, but keep the 7 liter engines and lack of electronic driving enhancements! Ted
