Love the Daytona "Geezer Report!"
Sadly Mother Nature seemed to have other ideas for my vintage and modern racing kart friends at Daytona and another well known sprint kart track 103th Street Sports Complex at Jacksonville, Florida.
From what I learned the Daytona paid (extra cost) practice day was a total washout. Ouch!
Modern sprint racer friend qualified P4, lead in heat race finishing P2 or P4 (not sure) and in good position for the Feature. The clouds let loose, he packed it up choosing not to race. He is an experience rain racer, choosing to preserve his equipment for the 2020 season for the New Castle "Kart Racers of America" Series of 14 races.
