What you have is basically a Mc-30 without a removable cylinder head. It even has squared exhaust ports. Remove all of the outer saw components, including the intake manifold.(part of gas tank assembly) You will also remove the governor linkage under flywheel shroud. Very straight forward and simple enough. Find a stock kart style or aftermarket manifold and you are good to go. This saw motor has the tapered crankshaft, just like all mac kart engines. You can also weld a 9 tooth sprocket on the drum and use existing clutch assembly.

IIRC, that model has a separate stuffer and not an integral casting with oil tank. So one less piece you may be needing to locate.

Buy a new or later model Tillotson carburetor with a 1" throttle bore and 7/8" venturi. You dont really need dual carbs or a big BDC carb. It just gets more expensive that way.

You dont need to change out the piston to run it . Will run just fine with stock style thick ring. When you wear it out, then spend the bucks to change it over. That is assuming the engine is in decent shape as is.

Tho it is doing things that take a little longer, you may want to get the saw running as is. That model should have a smaller Tillotson model HL-19E, F or G. Major rebuild kit is around $10. Will be needed to get this carb to come to life reliably. That and some good know-how. This carb is a little small for use on a kart engine, but will be basically the same as a newer carb, if you are not familiar with these.
