Tillotson carb specs - Tom Day - 11-25-2019 Since VKA has made a Tilly carb venturi max size of .810 for the West Bend sidewinder class for 2020 does anyone know a good site that lists specs for all carbs that might work for this? Thanks Tom RE: Tillotson carb specs - Paul F - 11-25-2019 It's in metric but this should work. http://www.vdm46.com/tillotsonmikuniwalbro-carbs.html RE: Tillotson carb specs - Tom Day - 11-25-2019 (11-25-2019, 10:50 AM)Paul F Wrote: It's in metric but this should work. http://www.vdm46.com/tillotsonmikuniwalbro-carbs.html Thanks Paul, Nothing there that converts to the .810 max that we can run. Closest is 20mm or.787. RE: Tillotson carb specs - Terry Bentley - 11-25-2019 Is that just an 0.810 no-go as a max dimension? The venturi in a standard new style Tillotson can be taken out that much without any major modifications. Didnt the 820 have a .750 venturi originally? Or am I missing something here? RE: Tillotson carb specs - RANDY DUNCALF - 11-26-2019 https://tillotson.ie/shop/hl232f-carburetor/#tab-additional_information . . . stock carb RE: Tillotson carb specs - Tom Day - 11-26-2019 (11-25-2019, 11:56 PM)Terry Bentley Wrote: Is that just an 0.810 no-go as a max dimension? Terry, The .810 is given as the max you can run. The stock carb that US motor supplies with the 820 nowdays is the HL232 with a spec of 20.66 which converted is .813. I was just looking to see what else might be able to be used. Got to be thousands of Tillys out there from all theres years. I would think there would be others but I have not found any the HL232 is easy to get RE: Tillotson carb specs - stan wauthier - 11-26-2019 I'm no mathmetician, but .813 is larger than .810. If I understand correctly that would make the HL232 ineligible, no? RE: Tillotson carb specs - Terry Bentley - 11-26-2019 I was thinking about the stock carbs on early 820's. The HL 134A with a .750" venturi. That would be easy to take out to the .810" dimension. I guess that size keeps everyone from swapping out to any standard Tillotson for stock rotary valve engines with .875" venturi. Put carb in the freezer before getting tech'ed. It will be fine. RE: Tillotson carb specs - stan wauthier - 11-27-2019 Is that why I should have a freezer in my trailer? |
