I got someone who is coming to the event that got me a clutch puller. You guys don't have to lend me one. Thanks for all the people who offered.
Ref Gary W's wedding deal.......................

I was dragged, kicking and screaming to a "grand daughter's" wedding the same weekend as Springfield.......don't be hard on him, sometimes it's easier to just do whatever.

Ask me in private about that one....

Ever been to an Italian wedding/woop te do?     Ask me......as long as Marcella's NOT in earshot.

Ok I'm slow but I'm finally registered for the Gran Prix. Are you? Hurry. Pre registration is by the 18th for a discounted price. Why aren't you coming. If your anywhere in the area and don't do this your missing one heck of an event. You can run as fast or slow as you want (heck one year we ran our 5.3 singles and had a ball). We will be there for plenty of fun or help if you need some. Please come hang out with us. It's a street race but it's only a race if you want it to be. Otherwise just come make some noise, blast down the streets. past the Post office, and run a few red lights but mostly put on a show. If you don't want to run come hang out and help us.Buy a pit pass or just watch all the kart classes from outside the fence. Spectators are free!!!!!!!!!!! You get to see karts go by at 90mph (Shifters) 30' away. Just one cool event!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Gary there is one upside to being called grandpa, you could bring along a new vintage karter and be a hero to him or her. I have not been sucessful at that because all mine play sports all the time. No time for karts but I'm working on one of them. My daughter got dragged to my races as a kid and doesn't want any part of it now.
It's over. Darn. I had a great time meeting everyone and getting some new stuff, fixing stuff, and racing. Today on the second heat, my welch plug (did I spell that right?) came out of the engine. Got a bolt and some epoxy in its place. Not pretty, but functional! Kart did very well. Lots of fast people, too. Got to see my father run a 1982 Proworks Invader, AFTER the event. He did well. First time in a vintage kart for him. The last heat I lost, the kid I was racing with had an oil clutch and a big Mcculloch carb. Both not allowed in junior. I don't care. I had FUN!
I feel as we start to see more Juniors entering VKA events, the Junior class needs to be revisited. There can be simple answers if it is looked at properly.
