Dart is disassembled. Cleaned parts with soap & water first, then inspected condition.
Made list of parts needed. Frame has a few small problems that need fixed. Floor pan cut out & rough ground.
Next step is blasting, then re-inspecting.
I have a Clinton 400A for the kart. I will need a few thing for it as well.

I've posted pics of my continuing progress.

The pedals and steering wheel were blasted with Arm & Hammer baking soda (it's a lot finer then blasting soda).

Then, I sent them to Sam Bennett to have them burnished.
A BIG thanks to Sam. Exactly what I was hoping for.

That kart and engine is the first kart I ever drove in 1959. Good Luck.

Just got most of the jig table set up. I used a lunch table top out of a local factory for the table.
Bolted down the angle iron, level and square so far.
Steve W., your videos helped me a lot, as I'm new to this. Thank you.
I think I'm going to buy a bender - JD3 is what I'm looking at. Not sure what size CLR die I need, a 3.5 or a 4.5.
All advice would be appreciated.

Problem solved on the bender.
I found an Amish guy who bent up five frames and parts for me for under $200.00.
Sorry, none are 4 sale
I had three made in .095 DOM and two in .120.
I'm going to make the .120 frame a few inches longer. I'll keep the .095 the original length.
I need the rear side rails replaced on the original - they are bent up about 1/2 inch.
Start cutting Monday

Updating photos & a link to more on the progress of the Dart. These were taken in July & August. Just started back on it this week.

I've got two other frames put together and built the longer Dart in August. Got it done in time for TBO.
Adding a link for that Kart as well.

Today I got the floor pan, engine mounts, brakes, and steering rod welded in. Also, I've gotten the rear axle back in.

I also got the reproduction all welded up. I used a 1/2" steering rod on that one. I'm going to use 5/8" steering rod on the second reproduction.
I've added a link for today's progress.
