1974 Hartman
#1
Here is my latest pickup. 1974 Hartman, serial number 1103. The kart has been converted to right hand. What concerns me is the frame rails have been flat-spotted all over because of someone getting carried away with an angle grinder. Hoping to fix it to the left hand kart it was originally if the grinded frame rails aren’t an issue.

I have a 77 that has mounts on both sides . how do you know it was a left hand kart and not built with mounts on both sides. Its a hard to find kart and I hope you can save it.  Jim

Hi Jim. Hartman had three different designs. The 74/75
Hartmans have no cast pieces on them, and are single engine only. Left hand karts. The 76 Hartman was the straight tail version, the first introduction to the cast pieces like steering shaft arm/steering column top/bearing hangers. Dual engine mounts. 77-79(?) has the swept tail with the curvy rear end. Hope this helps.
