arrrghh,
i think it's brakes and steering wheel and something else.
good chance i'll be where kart is today gotta bring truck back and get car.
so maybe i'll stuff the whole kart in the back and bring it to house to take off brake.

but first i gotta unload the truck somehow.
truck is currently loaded with a REALLY nice pexto sheet metal shear i just bought me for my birthday.
am puzzled how to get it off the truck it weighs ALOT but i'll think of something .
or get squished then i don't have to worry about getting the parts!

My preferred brand. But you gotta have a good box brake to compliment the shear. Then you have to get a....and a...

i DO have a gantry crane.
only issue is to move it i needed the truck it kinda takes up alot of space even dis-assembled.
since the truck was already loaded that was a problem.

my solution probably has my sweetie spinning in her grave and planning to haunt me.
i used the post holding the privacy fence above the garage(it has a flat roof) as a pick point.
i wrapped two load straps around that as my rigging span sets were also in woodbridge.
i hooked my come along to that and wound two more load straps around the body of the machine.
i lifted it and let it hang a few minutes about 1/2" over bed of truck to test the rig.
seemed ok so i moved the truck lowered the machine onto a furniture dolly and put it in the garage.

i only scratched the finish on the aluminum trim a little bit but over all that is an excellent pick point.
 i'll be using again.

NONE OF THAT WOULD'VE BEEN OK  while marjorie was still alive.
first off i'd never be loading tools into the garage.
she had a strange theory that garages are for parking cars in and that's it.

anyway i did good , nobody in the hospital , machine safely on the ground and truck back at moms.
of course i totally spaced getting the brake part as i was pretty tired.
this stupid flu damage is just hanging out making me cough and get tired quick.
a little better each day though.

i'll be there tomorrow hopefully i'll remember to get the stupid brake.
i also have the steering wheel emblem that mike everin sent you when he sold the kart.
that's what i forgot in the list.

today,
my electrician finished running a fifty amp jumper panel into the garage.
now i can power up the big compressor and welder stuff.
bwa ha ha

only thing stopping me from moving any more tools right now is i still don't have title to the house.
a buddy suggested NOT moving anything else over till i get the title .
there might be a debate coming at me from her brother about me getting the house.
the house is supposed to be mine but who knows.
so now i have to wait for probate before i get anything else done.

here's a pix of my machine the seller sent me.
i'm too lazy to go out and take my own.
as you can see for the 500.00 i paid I HAD TO BUY IT.
it's about perfect looks hardly used and the blade has zero chips dull spots or any damage!
he had bought it in auction as a lot and didn't need/want the step shear.
His camaro in the backround is a mint 1967 set up as a grudge racer.
had a big block in it and was really clean.

aaaand btw i may be buying a huge box break from a roofing company that's being broken up.
the thing is 8 or 10 feet long cast iron with the counter wt ball thingy.
might go cheap if so i'm buying it.
i may be eating alot of rice and beans to cover spending all my food money.
but with that i'll have nearly a complete fab shop in my hands.

That shear look vagrantly familiar without ten extra coats of paint. When I first got mine it would shear tissue paper. Now not so much.

Good Luck. I was hoping for some old 1/2" chain for a resurrected Mac saw I use. But not holding my breath.

i have a pile o chain and excess gear boxes.
getting me disconnected from the stupidity life sends me is the problem.
anyway, you'd probably both die from shock if i shipped something quickly.

the flu b.s. seems to be less and less.
still have a nasty cough.
not helping having to drive a whole bunch of people down to new york airport yesterday.
then go home sleep a little then up at 3.30 am.
so right now i'm in charleston s.c. .
we left at 4 am to get here at a reasonable hour.

tomorrow i go watch my nephew graduate from marine boot camp.
that starts at 7.30 am and we're about two hours travel away.
so ANOTHER  early start day.

i guess this is my new how to kill the flu method.
i'm dragging flu around all over the country till it is so tired it just leaves to bug someone less active!

but , a very cool moment in his life and a good turning point i think.
then back home hopefully will get some dave stuff done next week like getting gary his brake parts!

Gee Dave, a little bit of coronavirus and think you are dying. Man up!

I was out cutting fire wood today. Hands were numb and stinging. Dont know if from being so cold or trying to hold on to this monster.

This one works good for making biscuits from smaller logs. Then you dont have to split them.
