Hi Jim!  

Yes and no.   McBob had a Super Series table showing the various 101's.  It was also retyped but I'm not sure if it was ever finished.  I'll look when I get home.

I never saw a McBob chart for the Mc49... but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Why isnt the MC45 on there? Even though there were very little made and for not even a years run they were an officially released product, no?

Not to worry, Bob didn't overlook he Mc45.  It's on the Super Series chart.

I am definitely not the authority, but... here goes.

Until they ran out of numbers, McCulloch used this system for kart engines:

"Standard Series" motors were given single-digit model numbers, i.e., Mc5, Mc6,...,Mc9.
"Super Series" motors were given two-digit model numbers (excluding the Mc49X, which was its own series).

After the Mc9, they needed a new approach, hence the Mc90, Mc91X and so on.
Also, the Super Series became Mc101X (and eventually the Mc102 if your name is Carl Haydt ).
