On that Clinton, I don't see an ident tag. We karters always see a horizontal shaft Clinton and think: A400 or A490, but it could well be an A200. They look identical, but the 200 is only 4.5 cubic inches and 1-3/4 HP. TJ

The $5000 aluminum kart with Clinton is an interesting one-off, home-built, and would make an interesting kart for someone's collection (not mine).  An interesting kart at more like $500 to maybe $750.  Anything more than that and it'll stay right where it is.

Here it is.  It must have belonged to a midget.  Looks awfully short.

That kart looks a lot like several of the Clinton powered junior class specials I saw in Nassau in '60. Even the Nassau panel looks like the one they called the "sea sled". Red Crise had dictated that all karts at the event were to be equipped with a Nassau panel, and some of them were "hurriedly" built, to say the least. TJ

Is there something special about these wheels to be priced so high?

sterling, nothing at all but the owner is mighty proud of them to price so high.
i have lots of those if anyone sends me 1/2 of that i'd drop what i was doing and ship RIGHT NOW.
i'd move that fast because i'd be afraid they'd wake up and cancel such a silly offer. Big Grin
