Chain Measurements:
#35 Chain Pitch - 3/8" Pin Measurement Center to Center (35 Regular Chain is Narrow with no space between the roller and side plate, .390") (35 Space Chain is wider with space between the roller and side plate, .470", used mainly in racing applications)
#219 Chain Pitch - .300" Pin Measurement Center to Center
#40 Chain Pitch - 1/2" Pin Measurement Center to Center, Width .320" (Wider than #420 Chain)
#420 Chain Pitch - 1/2" Pin Measurement Center to Center, Width .250" (Skinnier than #40 Chain)
#428 Chain Pitch - 1/2" Pin Measurement Center to Center, Width .320" (428 Chain is the high end shifter kart chain)

Randy -- only thing I would add is #41 chain and #420 are the same but #420 chain is pre-stretched #41 chain. Most fun kart manufacturers would use the #420 chain. Manco was the only one of the large manufacturers that stuck with #35 chain on their basic fun kart.
To further educate, on American chain the first number is placed over an 8 to tell you the pitch of the chain (center of one pin to the center of the next pin). #35 chain = 3/8 pitch, #41, #40 & #428 are all 4/8 = 1/2" pitch, larger chain like #50 or #60 = 5/8" pitch and 6/8 or 3/4" pitch. Since 219 is European chain they don't follow the same coding system.
