RE: Burnishing pictures - Sterling Brundick - 08-28-2018 Beautiful as always my friend. You never cease to amaze me. RE: Burnishing pictures - sam bennett - 10-11-2018 I've been very busy doing jobs for the oldminibike guys. Wheels--by far-- are what I do the most. It's good to get a break and do some kart parts. Here is a quick one from Karl. RE: Burnishing pictures - sam bennett - 11-23-2018 I got my hand on a heavily modified K88 and a pretty stock looking K35 today. I've never had a Komet rat motor and was happy to accept the challenge. I've been doing a lot of mini-bike parts and I was happy to get my hands on some K35 parts. Here are some pics of the rat.. ] I've done a half dozen mid-70s Komets and they have a different look compared to other engines. Here is a K78 TT with some nice porting which I can't show. RE: Burnishing pictures - sam bennett - 11-23-2018 I'm going to be selling my restored sidewinders. I'll post on the site this week. RE: Burnishing pictures - sam bennett - 12-06-2018 I got some more engines from FVK. Not everyone wants the "over-burnished" look and I can limit the time in the tank to accommodate. I cut the time in half and they still look incredible. Here we have a LH/RH K88 pair. The turn around time was under 24 hours. RE: Burnishing pictures - sam bennett - 12-09-2018 Here are some PP flywheels for Bobby M. They are mostly RH drive, but a few LH. Thanks Bobby. RE: Burnishing pictures - sam bennett - 12-12-2018 Ted sent a 91B1 coupled to a gearbox for some burnishing. I went ahead and replaced the bearings while I was in there. Here are some GB pics first. Here is the 91B1. From here is goes to some good hands for a hone/fit and assembly. Thanks Ted! RE: Burnishing pictures - sam bennett - 12-12-2018 Tom B. sent an order of Rupp and Margay parts. They were already blasted, so here are just the finished photos. Thanks Tom! RE: Burnishing pictures - sam bennett - 01-06-2019 Thanks for cleaning up the spam on this thread. I've been doing so many minibike parts I've hardly had any time to do anything else. I did want to post this WB580 because it's the first one I've had in my hands. It came with a Pamini Piston. After. It took an hour to burnish and another 20 minutes to remove the pins. It's perfect. |
