Make sure your timing light is firing when the timing mark on your flywheel hits the front side of the magnet going from left to right. This will give you a good spark and ensure your timing is not advanced to far. To test your condensor you can take a multimeter set on ohm's to charge your condensor (capacitor) by placing the negative lead on the mounting screw and the positive lead of the multimeter on your condensor lead while it is not hooked up. You should be seeing your meter take incremental readings until it over loads. Quickly switch back to voltage DC and watch your voltage drop back to zero. This will give you an indication if your condensor is still good. heres a list of bolt hardware needed on most mcculloch motors RE: Mcculloch spec chart - John Poffenbaugh - 09-22-2016 Dave, Thanks for the info. I have similar stuff but this looks good. The hardware list is helpful also. I bought a bunch of different lengths of UNBRAKO allens based on my past use for the Macs. By the way, appreciate all you do on the forums. I'm sure it takes many hours of time. Very useful info and this new forum looks to be an improvment once we all learn to use it. Thanks again. John RE: Mcculloch spec chart - Scott Kneisel - 09-23-2016 (09-21-2016, 05:16 PM)David Luciani Wrote: heres a new consolidated chart maybe a little easier to use Some of this is incorrect, where did it come from? Scott RE: Mcculloch spec chart - David Luciani - 09-23-2016 Scott, i posted a fact check request on the other forum in case you missed it. what did you see that's wrong? The Charts came from me. i created them out of several different charts that i have and off the net. some of the info seems wrong to me but i've been too busy to totally research every point and fact check it. i've had this lying around for a long time and decided i'd never get around to fixing it. so i posted here it warts and all. So rather than wait for me to have time it seemed a good idea to put it here and let people tell me the errors. t's easy enough to fix. the crank specs sheet i got from an old cd somebody sent me years ago. that section i was especially hesitant to post as the specs on each year is something i'm not totally sure of myself. but again easy enough to fix if theres errors. dave l. RE: Mcculloch spec chart - Vince Rosanelli - 11-02-2016 Hi Dave, Thanks for consolidating a lot of the McColloch info. I wish I knew a fraction of what you and some of the other guys know about these engines. I came across the thread on the other forum about the spec sheets. I recently acquired an MC 101a/a and wish to learn as much as possible about it. Mr. Steve O'Hara and some of the other guys were kind to share their experience and knowledge. I'm not sure what specifically Scott was referring to in his post on this thread, but I did notice the MC101 Super Series engines are listed as 100cc. I think they should be listed as 123cc. Just like you said though, it's an easy fix... RE: Mcculloch spec chart and production dates - David Luciani - 02-08-2017 another chart McCulloch Kart Engine Identification Numbers.
