Help identifying old KT100 pipe - Vince Rosanelli - 10-29-2018 Good evening all. I was hoping to see if someone might recognize this old pipe I have for a KT100. If so, I was interested in learning more about it. For example, I would like to find out what the application for the pipe is; low end, mid range, or top end? Also, what would a good clutch be to use in conjunction with it and what rpm range would be best for engagement? Lastly, what should the header/flex length be for optimum performance? I believe it is an RLV pipe, but I couldn’t find any information on it. Thanks in advance for any and all help.... RE: Help identifying old KT100 pipe - Paul F - 10-30-2018 If it is an RLV A4 it is for top end, like road race as it is narrow power band. http://www.vdm46.com/vintage-expansion-chambers.html RE: Help identifying old KT100 pipe - Vince Rosanelli - 10-30-2018 Paul, Thank you for your help. The information on the VDM46.com is exactly what I was looking for and then some. Their webpage is a tremendous resource that I have referred to in the past. Now I know they cover vintage expansion chambers as well. RE: Help identifying old KT100 pipe - Paul F - 10-31-2018 Vince, That web site is 99.99% Rod Van Deusen's work and he is definitely passionate about old karts. His dad was there at the start of it all. |
