cuddy hotel information - tom dandes - 09-06-2018

I'm going to Cuddy in October and need to know if there are any hotels in the area that give the VKA a break on rooms?

15-20 minuites isn’t bad Steve.
As far as discounts go, I always use my AAA membership for hotel discounts.

Steve if it was just me I would go for it but the wife gave up on anything that even resembles camping years ago. Al I did the same and booked a hotel. just so everyone knows the Days Inn website listed on the VKA flier says "permanently closed".

I stayed at Scottish Inn on Route 6 the other side of Port Jervis last year. It was OK for me, but all I'm looking for is a bed and a shower. I'll stay there again this year unless something better shows up on this thread. Their phone number is (570) 491-4414.

Al...
I've seen in the past if you pick a motel and work with the management to block off a number of rooms for your event they will typically knock a few bux off the regular room rate....and save your participants some loot....

it does a couple  things...gets a few guys at the same motel for evening get togethers ,  saves a few bux,,,and guarantees the motel guests for the weekend...

cuddeback is a great event.
i went for many years.

in the past some hotels were interested in doing a group rate but i'm not sure if that's still true.
that's something the track promoter needs to arrange in order to get the hotels attention.

on the quality of the rooms.
the best i can say about some of the hotels in the area is they can be nice but be careful.
for whatever reason several of the places i stayed left much to be desired.
one lost all water and closed that day another had gray water issues with raw sewage back flowing into the room.  Angry

i found crossing the new york border on 95 one exit into the next state had better hotels.
but again my information is dated by several years now.

Cool
