62 series hubs - Matt Boarman - 04-19-2018

Is there a 1" hub available for the Margay 62 series wheels ? All the 1" hubs I see have a 2 1/2" bolt circle pattern the 62 series is larger.

RE: 62 series hubs - David Luciani - 04-20-2018

there is a made by margay 62 series wheel hub set for a 1" axle.
they are rare because tires got stickier right about that time frame.
so shortly after the new sticker tires were introduced the 1" + axles were found to create less wheel hop.
to remain competitive the 1" stuff was swapped out and discontinued.

i think chuck (strokerace) might have a set or two in his inventory.

D Cool

Matt - check the FOR  SALE  section.    Chuck Lipka just listed a bunch of 62 wheel components for the 1" axle.

I usually machined down the large Margay bolt pattern hubs to fit Van K wheels. They are stout and plenty to be had back in the late 70's.
