Castor Oil? - Tom Brabant - 04-13-2018

This West Bend I purchased came with 8 qts. of castor. I use castor in my two stroke model aircraft engines but only as a supplement and then only on older engines. do I need to ad more oil to my two stroke to oil mix.

If your used engine came with a supply of castor, you need to make sure whether the carb is a stock gasoline carb, or has been drilled for alcohol. Castor is generally used as a lube when alky is the fuel. If your engine has a gas carb, you won't need castor. A good mineral 2 cycle oil, or a good synthetic lube is all that's needed. Ted
