I was the same age when I too found my first kart under the tree. Only it had a 3 1/2 HP Tecumseh.

That's the color we painted it.

Plus that's one terrific Bug restoration......Wow !!! Being eight has benefits .......just make sure the driver has his safety gear on when he takes it out for a test drive !

Karen, very nice indeed! The kudos for the Dodge color ref came to me a LOOONG time ago from Russ Smith, and he got it from Dewey Bagley. Kart looks exactly like my Pop's first Wasp after he dumped the slow Mc5 for an Mc10. I put a ton of laps on that Wasp. Bob McCulloch sent Pop a very early stroker kit, and away it went.
