Block honing - ken northside - 10-06-2017 I have a Sunnen JN hone what stones do I need to hone Mac and Yamaha blocks. also have a sunnen Honing machine but have no mandals in the mac bore size. You want keyway mandrels for the machine. $500 to $700 each RE: Block honing - ken northside - 10-07-2017 Jeff why keyway mandrels I have been in a few engine shops that do 2 stroke work and looked at there sunnen mandrels and the mandrels most of them have are just a single stone mandrel. I would just like to use the Sunnen JN hone I have with the right stones to hone the bores. I am not building top notch engines I just want to build a engine that runs well and lives plus most of the mac parts I have are old wiped race parts. Maybe my question should have been what grit stoned to use. jeff there is a little bit of art & science to honing engine bores. |
