How to video on shaft straightening, ie rear axles - Randy Dacus - 07-02-2017
Keith Fenner does shaft straightening mostly for marine applications, but when I saw his video on how
he does it with a torch and a cooling source .....I figured it could also apply to kart rear axles.
Notice that in the demo the stock he used was new, but not straight....sound familiar.....anyway
it was very interesting to see just how fast Keith brought an out of tolerance shaft back from .030
to within .002 .
Also notice that the shaft was out in several areas......no wonder some of the axles we purchase are not true !
