Kart weights - Ryan Johnson - 03-04-2017

There was an interesting thread on the old Vintage karts forum not long before it crashed on kart weights. Well I thought I'd revive it over here. I weighed my satellite seat, box mount Fox, stock wheels and Mac engine, it came in at 95 lbs.

I didn't have the wheels on my Lancer otherwise I'd have weighed it too.

Interested to hear what other karts weigh..

Ryan

Most of my karts are right at about 95 to 105. I just finished the Blackhawk MK VI and even though there is a lot of Alum on them there are just to many pieces. It came out at 106 # with the West Bend 820 (not sure there has ever been an 820 on that model before). Most peoples karts weigh more than they think they do. We have a couple in the 80/85# range.
