Does anyone use the Type 41 Aircraft Mineral oil in the H/A master cylinders set up for mineral oil?  I read something about it a while back and I see Aircraft Spruce carries it.  Here's something I copied & pasted about it -

AeroShell Fluids 4 and 41 are mineral hydraulic fluids; the latter has superior cleanliness characteristics and is the more widely used grade.

Sterling? Noticed it was same last name....

For future reference, I took a screen grab of a post from an old thread from the other forum a while ago regarding this very subject. Not sure if this helps you or not but here is the image I saved from the thread post:

Thanks Vince.  Guess that answers that question.  Sterling

P.S.   - When the other site went down the first time several months ago and everyone switched over to this one, I had to re-register for some reason. like a number of other folks.  And it would not allow me to use the name I go by.  Kinda screwy.  Ted had an issue like this on the other site several years ago.  So I am actually registered twice on this site.  Except I can't access the original because it won't accept the password.  I gave up messing with it.  I have zero patiance for issues like that.  None.
Teds name wasn't lost on the other site if you knew where to look.
i finally figured that out and fixed it. ted almost didn't want to go back to his own name it had been changed so long. anyway if you do have issues what you do is contact your friendly local admin, that would be me and complain.
i'll set you a new password and your old account will be restored. what could be easier!!
in fact i think i'll make sure the outside contact email is easily found so if you do get locked out a simple email will tell me directly.
yer bud
