Hi  new member here. Looking at getting into vintage karting. I'm an old guy so it brings me back to my youth in the 60s wanting, but never getting a kart. I saved for a year when I was a kid and got a mini bike as it was easier to find places to ride.

I'm looking for an early mid 60s kart. Would like a rupp, but I would appreciate any feedback on them and other manufacturers, of which I can't believe how many existed in the golden era.

Thanks for anything you share and hope to meet some of you at an event.
would help if you mentioned location,,price range (varies greatly)...project..ready to go???

If you could lower your expectations to a Bug, I have a few Smile
[attachment=4837]Found a Fox from a very meticulous owner and a accomplished racer. Now I have to get it out on the track and learn how to drive one these safely. Lots of experience behind the wheel of a car.

Where the heck do you live? That Fox is Larry Brown's kart from Tucson, AZ. I had no idea Larry had it for sale. In fact, that photo looks like the fence by the pits at the P1 track where we run in Tucson. I have similar photos in my folder. Ted
Yes it is Larry's Kart. He reached out to me and felt I was worthy of having it. We have been speaking for a couple months. I'm in Florida. Hope to see folks andmert folks at events.
ICool! I see Larry sold both Fox karts. Now all he has are the Emmick sidewinders. I won't be going back South again, but Florida was my home. I was born in Melbourne, grew up in West Melbourne and lived in Titusville so I could have quick access to Cape Canaveral and KSC.
I have run with that Fox with Larry at P1 in Tucson a number of times. I have a couple of CAD designed REAR engine karts I built. I have a "sort-of" replica of a Whileaway Products n1ke Zeus that is sometimes run at P1, as well as my totally free-designed Photon that I like a lot. If you should hear of anyone who wants a rear engine 100cc kart with a Dyna Drive gearbox and an alky carbed Chrysler/Libberton 610, Let me know! Hope to see you someday. Any friend of Larry is a friend of mine. I will try to add a pic of the n1ke at P1, back when it was turquoise in color. It's now g0ld powder. My avatar pic shows our karts in Mom's front yard in West Melbourne about 1961. Ted Johnson
