Cates, a vintage kart with an excellent racing reputation.

Recently purchased Cates is on it's way to Alaska. Looking forward to working on it next winter. It will need the rear nerf bar. I've seen some interesting designs in that area. If you have any Cates parts you would part with PM me.     [attachment=3938]

I'm hoping the steering shaft can be separated from the frame. An earlier version (photo) couldn't be removed.

The Cates suspension was advertise as adaptable to Darts and Caretta's.

So are there any vintage kart events in Alaska?

Thanks John, Can't log in or would have answers sooner.

I have both the early and later suspended chassis. They will need some serious TLC bringing back to life. If you could do some measurements, I would be forever in your debt. I would rather owe you that cheat you out of it anyway. Let me know if you want to help out a fellow vintage kart guy.

I am still hoping to get some measurements for a Cates. I have one of each and they are in serious need of repair. If anyone is willing to make some yo-yo measurements, please let me know. Thanks
