Attention Vintage Karting Association. My name is Mark Webb, I am the oldest son of Alvin Webb, a member of this group. My father Alvin passed away today doing what he loved, working on race cars in his garage. My father had the racing bug very early in life. My weekends where always at the track when I was barely able to walk. I too raced karts, and Mini Sprints in my days. Worked at his Go Kart track after school and summers taking care of the concession karts. He was the corner stone of many racing builds through out the country. I used to deliver race cars for him and brought some of them back to Utah....Today my father crossed the finish line of life and the checkered flag will always be his. He will be missed. I love you Dad.
Thank you. Mark Webb.

d Cool
That's a shame. We had talked and emailed some. He had sent me pix of his "Blue Bomb" when Pruit and I were designing the Photon karts. We will miss him. Ted
Hello Mark ,Sorry to hear,  Pitted next to your father ,and Mom for a couple years at Adams, he was so enthusiastic , and his knowledge including fabrication was vast.  The second year he showed up with that fine hand made kart , and he was so thrilled to drive again..our condolences to you and family , gus & MJ...
Alvin was a real sweetheart. He sought me out at Adams the last time he was there and we had a great chat, and became the best of friends in no time flat.

Alvin, we shall miss thee.
I believe it was Alvin Webb from several years back writing in the old Vintage Kart Forum with great enthusiasm and looking forward to preparing the motorhome to travel to Ohio to attend the Rear Engine American Racers’ The Big One.
Still sad.
