Don't know if anyone has seen the redesigned Tom Kelley West Bend 610/820 intake for the Yammie YZ reed valve? MUCH cleaner design than the first iteration. Steve Welte says that the new units on Shawn's dual 820 rig make it go like Jack the Bear. I've already sent Tom a check for my new one. There's a complete assembly with carb plate and reed cage on eBay now. Item 302762674315 Cool   Ted

I just checked out the pics on E-Bay.  Wow, there's a lot going on there.  Even with modern tools, that must've taken some time.  Nice work!
What happens when the YZ reed valve is no longer being produced?
Jim, this unit uses a classic YZ reed from the mid nineties to early 2000's, not the new version. They are usually on eBay for a good price. Boyesen still makes replacement two stage reeds, and there are carbon fiber ones as well. V Force makes replacement hi perf cages still. TJ
So Tom sends me the last ones for my kart. UPS screws up the shipment and they are stuck in an infinite loop between 2 shipping points, going back and forth, at least 10 times. they know where the are but won't get them. How stupid!!!!!!! Will I ever get them?
Steve, wha' happens if they wanna be paid for all that shipping mileage? Confused  TJ

All Tom's phone calls and efforts paid off. I got my package in tact this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOORAY! In time for New Castle. Had a nice talk with Tom yesterday. He has a base earmarked for me. I got the cage and carb adapter plate all cleaned off of RTV and Copper Coat sealant. It's waaay too hot out there to work. Almost burned my hands opening the Jeep hood and propping it up. Go get 'em at Dismore's. We want pix and videos..., Steve! Ted
