Anyone use a chainsaw with a v belt pulley to start there karts? If so how big a saw is needed?

Thanks

Jerry Solt used to use a WB820 that sounded better than 95% of the karts at the track.  It was overkill to say the least (but it really sounded great).  Chainsaw starters were not as common as Briggs four strokes on various stands.  The really small ones didn't really do the job.  Basically the more powerful the chainsaw the better it works.

any mc 250 saw will have enough juice to use as a starter.
d Cool
I built a couple out of Mac chainsaws, they work just fine. I think I still have one. I have been using my old 580 westbend starter for the last few years. Give me a call if you are interested in having one.

Brad,

Got a Mac 33 chainsaw I converted a while back.
Sitting in Hamilton, Ohio.

Free if you pick it up.

Brad,

I've used a Mac 1-40 and a WB 610. Both work great.
