To upload a photo first start a new thread/post.
Afterwards you will see a screen similar to this:

Click the Choose File button located towards the bottom of the page on the left hand side.
Next choose the file you want to upload:

Click the Open button on the new window.
Now click the Add Attachment Button to the right of where the Choose File button is:

NOTE: if you are uploading more than one file an update attachment button will appear, only use it if you wish to replace the file you had already uploaded.
After adding the photo you will see a Remove and a Insert Into Post button. If you want the photos to appear inline (like in this one) click the mouse where you want to show the picture and then click on Insert Into Post:
