Hi Guys,
My Caretta Riverside Enduro kart showed up today at the Greyhound station here in Wisconsin. Tony did a great job of packing everything, and Greyhound did a great job of shipping it. One thing we did was take it apart, so it was not so wide. I think that helped a lot. This Caretta was originally an enclosed rear axle kart. The rear of the frame was modified to accept a normal 1" axle. The work was really well done. I can't prove it, but it sure looks like it was done at Caretta. The short extended front porch, and the rear steer appear to be  original. The spindles are very nicely fabricated, not a garage job. I'll get it dipped to remove all the paint, and any rust. I need to replace the front axle this winter. Other than that, there isn't much to do. Does anyone know how to put pictures on the new web site. I can down load a few tonight.

I am no expert, but below this reply post. on the Left, is a  Grey [BROWSE...] box, select that. Look for the photo you want to add on your computer desktop or folder file folder where you have the photos.
Then to the right side is a grey [Add Attachment] button, add each photo.

You might need to wait 2 to 3 seconds after selecting each button for action to complete.

Repeat Browsing and Add Attachment until you have added all the photos you want to post

Then select the [Post Reply] button below center.
sweet...the only enduro I would consider doing...

Brian.....glad to see you are still addicted to rescuing the oddball , the rare, the one off, the prototypes of Vintage......

"Have tools, have skills.......in time they will come.......that's what shops are for !

Here's a tip......put all your stuff up for sale, advertise it and watch the calls come in for folks wanting to sell you their
engines and parts that have been sitting for eons , then try to sell off your project karts.....then you get calls asking if you will put it together for them if they buy it........maybe this is reverse marketing .

I'll post some of the interesting stuff just in case someone is looking for parts to complete a Mac engine project .

I said just ebay it, but then I said well.....wait ....I've got friends who might want it, I'll get my camera........One young guy said .....why don't you open a kart shop.......?

I said.....my buddy Brian told me to just keep my favorite kart.......well they're all my favorite......but they have to go ......

Sad      Here's one sweet old Bug Wasp headed out for an adventure !
[attachment=2599][attachment=2598]Well,
I have had it 2 days, so that is long enough, the front axle gets cut off. I'm dropping it off at the acid dippers later in the week, so I wanted to be able to let the acid inside all the tubing. It works much better than bead blasting. The frame returns looking almost new. The front tubing notch's are the original Caretta metal work. The wheel base is off 1/8", so there will be a little tune up.

There out there. Original upholstery seems to be the hardest thing to corner.
