I'm down with that. Sam Bennett is in Merritt Island, a ways South of Cape Canaveral, and one of my best buddies is in Oviedo, East of Orlando. I don't know if Sam decided to ride it out, but my buddy is hunkering down. Me having spent my first 44 years on Florida's East Coast, I remember well! Be safe, friends. Ted

Thanks Jeff; it looks like we're in the Bullseye for Irma. It looked for a while like Ann & I wouldn't get out of there this year. We finally were able to get back to Wisconsin the end of June. When Charlie hit us in 2004 the car port was torn off and also some trim. The replacement is supposed to be hurricane proof.

the area of the keys that was in the eye cudjoe key is where we typically stay every year.
i know the area well and where we stay would've been beyound terrifying today.
that land is about a foot over the water level on a normal day.

Prayers sent. My mother in law and husband are in Tampa and Ken Woolridges son and family are in the Coco Beach area.
It's pretty frightening for family, my nephew and family are in Jacksonville......he's a Navy pilot and wife is a Navy nurse
so they are on stand by to help others, grandma is taking care of the two lil boys and the dogs while the wind blows hard !
Plus my niece is there helping her brother, so lots of family to worry about, plus one of my sisters lives near DC !
All this and a brother and parents in Texas after that mess tore up that state......and they want me to move there !
Yikes ! Be safe .....all I have here on the west coast is raging forest fires , heat and smoke .....what's next ?
