Vico, What gear worked best at Quincy? I also run 9-68 at Delmar,9-64 at Quincy but I am 200#. I think Tom is close or you could add 4 teeth from to what you ran at Quincy. Maybe someone with a junior can chime in here and give the gear.

See you there, fun track to drive, one of the vintage favorites.
Thanks guys! Big help. See you guys there.
I would split it at 9/66 with the light weight but you may find 9/67/68 still a good choice. You have the hills and you want to continue to pull them quickly. the track is not your normal track. It's all about getting a drive up the grades.

I think 9-67 or 68 would be too low. 9-66 might work. Vico's pretty light so 64to66. you could split it at 65 and then go either way depending on how practice goes.

Really depends on how much low end the engine has. the small one inch carbs pull good out of the corners.
I envy you guys out that way.  On Rolf's calendar, for Sept, Delmar is featured with a write-up.  It must be a TON of fun to drive!

Doug,
We are truly blessed with kart tracks AND the promoters that will put on vintage events in the midwest! I live in Illinois and have 4 tracks within a 3hour drive. Delmar 1.5 hr,Broadhead 3hr, Quincy and Springfield 2hr. If I want to drive 6-7hr I have Camden,New Castle, and Whiteland. Also Rock Island Grand Prix 50 minutes.

Delmar is a fairly new and great track! The Neilson family are the owners and live right next door. Beautiful facility and great people!
Tom is certainly correct. He did not even mention Norway where they hold the White Knuckle Scramble and the two non VKA vintage events at Brodhead.
Delmar is a fantastic facility and should be on every bodies bucket list. Now we just have to figure a way to make the first heat race on Friday and still get to the Bluff Lake Catfish Farm for Prime Rib or all you can eat Catfish. Historically they run out of Prime Rib pretty early.
