Hi everyone. I'm looking for some help here. I just purchased this go kart and I was hoping to get some help with Identification and also some help with the issues. The front looks different then most rupps I've seen and it looks like the back of the frame has been repaired and or cut and welded?? I haven't seen enough of these to really compare so if you could shed some light on this that would be greatly appreciated. Also trying to figure out the year and model. Thanks so much.
Maybe Steve Miller can ID this early chassis.
From the images it's been hurt and rewelded many times, front axle doesn't look stock, under the frame steering could be your best ID clue to brand .

Cast steering wheel may be an upgrade, but is dangerous and was outlawed for racing karts and going to  the rear
this kart was most likely a dead axle configuration, then a live axle was welded to the frame where the old axle
was removed .

In 1959-60 some four hundred brands were manufactured to fill the desire for "Carts" .....most were not racing karts, but were fun carts........most of them were pretty much the same simple design, made from mild steel, the karts for racing evolved using stronger materials and design .

Most of us collect and focus on those karts that were for racing, but they are not the only Vintage Karts.....the fun carts get restored too, but their history doesn't have the same following or documentation on this website .

Below:  picture is just a few of Steve's collection, he collects them all .....
